Rogerio Lima, well known as Rog (rauj), is originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Rog is a unique and respected coach and player.
As a player, he achieved many honors playing collegiate soccer at Centenary College of Louisiana, and The University of Memphis. As a professional, he played for Clube Atletico Mineiro and Ipiranga Futebol Clube (Brazilian Div-I), Long Island Rough Riders, Hershey Wildcats, Hampton Roads Mariners (A-League) and the Memphis Express (PDL).
Rog was a very talented player with unbelievable dribbling & ball skills (including free kicks). He was a typical South American player who brought diversity and fun to the game.
Rog is currently the Executive Director/Owner of Soccer Ole’ Program as well as the Soccer Program Director at Lausanne Collegiate School, working as a Sports, Exercise and Health Science IB course and Boys Head Soccer Coach. At Lausanne Collegiate School, Rog and his coaching staff have been able to build a solid competitive boys HS program, culminating in the 2017 and 2018 Div. II A state championships.
Rog was also the Health & Wellness Teacher, Dept chair and Head Soccer Coach at Christian Brothers High School for 12 years (2002-2014), where he was able to maintain the distinguished winning tradition achieved throughout many years resulting in 2002, 2003, 2009, 2010 and 2014 Div. II AA state championships and 2005, 06, 07,08 and 2011 runner ups.
Rog's coaching style emphasizes individual technical ability as well as tactical discipline with focus on ball possession resulting in effective attacking opportunities.
